More sensible post
Boy, reading that last post again makes me realise how truely strange and twisted I can be sometimes. I am starting to understand why not everybody gets my style or sense of humour. But as long as I do - that's OK!
I am still bouncing along but I do think my complete dive into silliness, and my inability to sleep last night (note to self: It is not a good idea to get up at 1.00am to put another load in the wash & fold up some laundry because I can't sleep!!) is because I have cut back on my d.coke and gone off my nice sleepy meds all at the same time. I seriously was drinking too much d.coke so I am drinking it army style now. 2 cans per me per day.
Also, I realise that as I don't turn to food for comfort anymore I compensate by doing other things. And that generally means when I am worried I put myself in a heightened state of joviality. I'm covering up that there is something going on and I don't want to talk about it. It's not me personally but close enough that I am on edge. Hopefully the situation will turn out not to be too serious and I can relax. Fingers crossed.
That's the great thing about following a plan. It gives me a framework to eat within so I don't have to think too much about that. I just now have to work on other coping mechanisms.
Special mention to Jonny for the visial image of builders crack, and Leisa for Kimmee's diamond g-banger, and we won't even go near Jodies comment. LMAO

Oh my god! I am such a d.coke fan too and I drink way to much ... especially in evenings ... body tired, eyes wired open and brain going flat knacker! Hate that .. I still never learn though not to touch the stuff in the evenings.
A huge congratulations on becoming a 70s girl .. you and I are bouncing down in the 60s!

I drink loads of it too... I sleep fine but usually wake up at least once a night to pee!

Beware: Your Nellys will become Barrys as your waistline gets smaller. My advice - Stretchy Nellys.
I'm still catching up on your back posts M, and I wouldn't keep reading them if you weren't such an entertaining nutter ;-) Keep up the good work you grazy gal.
Here's a tip which may help make you go off diet coke: Apparently it contains more sodium (salt) which might make you retain water...
I can only drink it one week a month, the other three weeks it tastes funny (my hormones affect my taste big time!)

If I can't sleep I usually do housework - I figure it is something mindless but physically tiring and will help me sleep. If that doesn't work, at least I get up to a clean house!
As far as diet soft drinks go - I use and recommend Bundaberg diet ginger beer! It has a little sugar but no caffiene.

Lover your posts and in today's world I'm sure we all need a laugh or two in our day! Óops not saying I'm laughing at you - it's your sense of humour!

I think it's good to get off the diet drinks when you can - all that phenylalaline can't be good for you. :-) My friend Arie gets chest pain, and gets twitchy when he has anything with it in.
And keep up the funny posts - they are refreshing!
And I hope whatever it is that you are worrying about works out ok. xx

Hope things work out soon for you - am glad to hear I'm not the only one doing washing at 1am !!! Mind you - I was doing it because everyone else in the house forgot and there were no clean shirts for school today !!!! Not easy going to sleep with the tumble dryer squeaking around and around and around !!!!!
What progress - not turning to food for comfort - well done !!
Take care and yell out if you need anything ! Have a great day !

Funny at the moment I'm having a completely different problem with sleep and that is I don't want to get out of bed!!! Slept in again this morning!!! Very cold out west in the mornings and with a 2nd doona on making it nice and toasty underneath who would want to get out of bed. Plus we have something getting into our roof at the moment and scratching through the night!! We have put baits up there for mice but not sure if it is mice!! Might be time for Jamie to get on the roof and do a little investigation. I love the funny comments - laughter is the best medicine after all!!! XX

Whatever you are worrying about feel free to share, or not,, whatever helps. You know we are all here for you and your laughter gets us through our down times. I do my washing at night so i am used to the sound of the machine when sleeping. At least you are not reverting to your old ways.

Hey there. I really wish I had more time to check your posts - I usually have a week's worth to read in one hit and I have too much to say about it all and then I forget what I was going to say! You're very funny, very honest and very real and I appreciate that you're sharing this journey with us.
I know EXACTLY what you mean about being ridiculously jovial - I, too, share that trait. Instead of making anyone else think that we're worried about something, we have to make them thing exactly the opposite and so we put on this crazy act. I hope that whatever it is sorts itself out soon and that you can go back to being the 'normal' crazy M we all know and love.
Go you good thing for being in the 70s too... I always wish I was around for that decade...

I am late but have decided to start reading where I left off.
I think you have a wonderful sense of humour.
I sometimes worry what people think of my s.o.h too because I have offended a couple of people in the past
