It's a Boy
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome into the world my new nephew Bradley James who entered heartily weighing 8 lb 10 oz and measuring 54 cms. A big happy boy.
I am a very proud Aunty tonight.

Plans changed for this evening and instead of a movie (which we were both afraid we would fall asleep during) DH and I wandered into the local village and have had a wonderful casual dinner sitting outside in the warm night air, between the video store and the train station. Even the visit of the local stray chocolate labrador was lots of fun. I ended up walking to Central on the way home from work, even though I was carrying the wedding album (which weighs 6kgs) a bunch of flowers and a bottle of champagne. All compliments of my lovely DH. So including the stroll we have taken after dinner I ended up doing 13552 steps today.
AND when I got home I have been informed that I don't need to go to work tomorrow. DH called my boss a few weeks ago and organised a day off for me. He has booked me into a day spa in the city which will go from 11.00am through to 7.00pm. I will post a link when I find out exactly where I am going and what I am doing. I can't believe he did this and am amazed that he thought of something so personal and wonderful. I am indeed a lucky little soul tonight. But part of me knows too - that I deserve it ;)
OMG I cannot begin to imagine how lovely 8 hours at a day spa would be. Sounds like absolute bliss!! Your DH is incredibly (sp?) thoughtful!

WOW - it is good to hear that there are other good men out there because sometimes I wonder if I am the only one lucky enough to have one !!!
You deserve to be spoilt because you are a special person.
Love the wedding pics - you will definitely be fitting into your dress next anniversary - actually, it will probably be too big for you ! Now, if only I could lose enought to fit into mine .....

Wow! Firstly, congratulations on being an aunty - it's a wonderful thing :-) And the baby sounds lovely and healthy.
What a lovely treat your husband has surprised you with - you lucky thing. And yes, you definitely deserve it - alongside all the other amazing things you do on a daily basis you've also managed to shed nearly 20kgs. I bet he is incredibly proud of you. Relax and enjoy your day of bliss!! And no work - woohoo!

Congratulations M on your wedding anniversary, your new nephew, you lovely night out and most of all for getting spoilt stupid by your wonderful husband.
Your wedding photos are magical - I agree that relationships are hard work - but what a great to spend some energy and get something so truly wonderful in return.
I am jealous but desperately want to hear how the day spa goes 8-)
